Description Edit

For six seasons, we've been able to see some of the best young Canadian singers come out for The Next Star to audition, perform and prove that they've got what it takes to make it as an artist in the music industry. Proving that Canada has talent to offer, The Next Star has spawned the careers of well-known singers such as Alyssa Reid and Victoria Duffield.

With YTV's new spin-off show premiering, it's now time to search for the One Direction and Fifth Harmony of Canada—that's right a supergroup. The Next Star SuperGroup brings back some familiar faces and introduces new ones as the singing competition is taken to a whole new level. Singers will not only have to work on their vocal and dancing skills, but also their ability work with others as a team, because in this show, it won't be just one person crowned the winner, but a whole group of people.

Though The Next Star SuperGroup is only playing on our television screens this Spring, it's been in the works for quite some time. Faze stopped by the set last summer to get the scoop from coaches Cory Lee and Damon Sharpe, as well as choreographer Nico.

Check out our video interviews, and be sure to catch The Next Star SuperGroup on Tuesdays at 7 PM EST on YTV.
